Speed of Iran vote count called suspicious (AP)
AP - How do you count almost 40 million handwritten paper ballots in a matter of hours and declare a winner? That's a key question in Iran's disputed presidential election. International polling experts and Iran analysts said the speed of the vote count, coupled with a lack of detailed election data normally released by officials, was fueling suspicion around President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's landslide victory.

Bloody Sunday: Hezbollah Causes Deaths of 60 women and Children Using Residence as Human Shield

"Why are they killing us? What have we done?" >asked Khalil Shalhoub as he witnessed his brother's remains being removed from the building in Qana, Lebanon after Israeli aircraft bombed the building suspected to be shielding rocket launchers directed at Israel. 120 such rockets were fired at Israel today.

Fox News reports that at least 56 were killed in the attack, mostly women and children.

It's a sad and tragic event which should never have happened. And it's one that is likely to fit into the plans of those who wish to condemn Israel and push for a ceasefire that preserves Hezbollah's military capacity. The same military capability which violates every previous agreement intended to bring peace to the troubled region.

Ever since the crisis began, Mike's America has pointed out how Hezbollah has used the civilian population and U.N. peacekeepers as human shields. They deliberately choose to attack from these positions and then are first to raise the cry of "massacre" or "war crime" when unintended deaths occur. We've reported the statement from U.N. Humanitarian Chief Egeland who denounced Hezbollah for "this cowardly blending ... among women and children...I heard they were proud because they lost very few fighters and that it was the civilians bearing the brunt of this. I don't think anyone should be proud of having many more children and women dead than armed men."

Video Evidence Of Hezbollah Rockets Shielded by Civilian Residences

If you haven't seen the video from the Israeli Defense Forces showing the launching of rockets directly behind a large building in the area near Qana, it is here. It's an older video and apparently not the building which was struck today, but a nearby site which does illustrate how Hezbollah launches rockets from behind a large building to avoid detection.

The chart at right illustrates the course of rockets fired from Qana. The Israeli Defense Forces also has a further video showing how Hezbollah hides rockets in civilian targets.

More Questions: No Fighters Killed in Qana?
Reporters at the site of this tragedy report that it took many hours for them to reach the scene. They were not given any opportunity to investigate, photograph or videotape obvious military targets or dead Hezbollah fighters.

Prior to the strike in Qana, Israel took steps to warn the civilian population that strikes in this area were likely and warned them to leave. This is the same precaution they followed prior to their incursions into both Southern Lebanon and Gaza. These efforts include dropping of leaflets, phone calls to residences in affected areas and loudspeakers in some cases. Vital Perspective posted a copy of one of the leaflets warning that Israeli strikes were imminent.

From reports at the scene, survivors of the Qana attack complained that they were unable to leave, that the roads were "blocked." Yet reporters had no trouble getting to and from the scene.

More Questions

Unfortunately, the resources of the Israeli Defense Forces are more focused on fighting and winning on the ground in Lebanon and Gaza. But the propaganda war is being lost as the world sees images of dead children and only later considers the cause.

As we wait for more information, one thing is clear: this tragedy would not have occurred if Hezbollah has been disarmed. Furthermore, this tragedy would not have happened if Iran and Syria had not provided Hezbollah with the weapons, training and funding to attack Israel. Finally, none of this would be happening if the world demanded the same level of accountability and respect for innocent civilians from Hezbollah that they require of Israel.

Answering Khalil Shalhoub's question: "Why are they killing us? What have we done?" I would say: You have allowed Hezbollah to rearm and attack Israel. If you valued peace more than war, you would not have done so.

And Khalil: Mike's America readers may recall another "Bloody Sunday" 23 years ago when Hezbollah killed 241 U.S. Marines sent to Lebanon as peacekeepers. Isn't it past time you held Hezbollah accountable for the "cycle of violence?" Blaming everyone else for your problem hasn't worked too well has it?

Update: The research department at Flopping Aces has found a number of other links to the videos mentioned above and more. A number of these are provided by Vital Perspective, a collection of which can be found at You Tube.

Vital Perspective also reminds us that the deliberate placement of weaponry in a civilian area is a violation of the Geneva Conventions. Will we now hear all the bleeding heart lefties who moan about our benevolent treatment of homocidal terrorists at Guantanamo now take up the call about war crimes by Hezbollah? Don't hold your breath!

And just for the record, Flopping Aces linked to this video at the end of which you can clearly see ambulances with UN markings being used to transport Hamas terrorists in Gaza away from the fighting.

And some people say that Israel is committing "war crimes"?

___

Islamists to Zionists: 'We'll make SURE our kids die, so we can murder yours!'

Israel's war of not hitting Arab civilians VS Islamists FOR it.

Since the bluff of Islamists supposedly having "issue" just keeps being exploded in their faces with each "one way" concession by the Zionists to the "never sattisfied" Arabs, more so when the Zionists gave Gaza land to the "Palestinians" and the "Palestinians" immediately responded only to continue their crimes with even less shame, overwhelmingly gave the region and to the world the gift of: electing officially the terrorists of Hamas to be their leaders.

They never can justify their killing of civilians, intentionally, how do they combat with this most honest most human and moral basic question ever?

So they came up with a plan, how to make sure their kids die, Hamas actually masterminded it, to use own kids as human shields, either firing with machine guns behind the "little stones throwers", or firing from among their families.

But great humane Israel (Israel VS Evil), can't stomach even collateral damage, so they try always to warn the residents of an operation coming so that they should evacuate.

That is of course extremely costly, since such warnings, whether in Gaza or in Lebanon are chasing the terrorists away as well, but beautiful Israel is willing to sacrifice so much to spare Arab children that their adults hate so much but love for them to be killed on the altar of "public relation" and that "victim-hood" so sacred for the dirty Islamists.

If you want to see the deeper picture, (not only the true vs. exaggerated fake photos, just exposed on Reuters, etc. but) the real picture of Israel VS. Islamists.

Israel fights so mighty hard to AVOID civilian casualties on EITHER side, Islamists fight for the GREATER MASSACRES of CIVILIANS even on Arab Muslim side, since it serves their purpose of: "you see? Zionists are killing civilians too, they are not much better", so they can go ahead with what they always want, to massacre all non Muslims, especially the Israelis.

Death and destruction are Hezbollah's goals
By Andrea Levin | August 8, 2006
SOMETIMES basic facts get blurred in a fierce, image-filled conflict such as the one spawned by Hezbollah's July 12 cross-border attack in which Israeli soldiers were killed and others kidnapped while a rain of rockets descended on homes and fields. An unprovoked act of war, this Hezbollah assault followed 19 others since May 2000, when Israel pulled out from a security zone in southern Lebanon that had been created to protect against earlier terrorist incursions. In response to those first 19 incidents, Israel had essentially held its fire.
What does Hezbollah, with some 10,000 katyushas and other long-range missiles, really want? Some say Israel's pullout from south Lebanon was incomplete (though fully certified as complete by the United Nations) and that handing over Shebaa Farms would quiet the Iranian-funded Jihadist group. But as a New Yorker story noted, even Hezbollah spokesman Hassan Ezzeddin admitted: ``If they go from Shebaa, we will not stop fighting them. Our goal is to liberate the 1948 borders of Palestine." What he means, of course, is the destruction of Israel.
Genocide seems to be the goal. This too may be lost when media focus centers on Israel's retaliation for aggression and its army's advance against Hezbollah fighters dug deep into the Lebanese hills. But listen to the words of the group's leaders and consider the relentless message of Al-Manar, the organization's richly funded satellite television network that reaches tens of millions around the world and is designated a terrorist entity by the US State Department.
Hezbollah head Hassan Nasrallah describes being asked whether ``the destruction of Israel and the liberation of Palestine and Jerusalem were Hezbollah's goal," and replying: ``That is the principal objective of Hezbollah." He terms Israel ``an illegal state; it is a cancerous entity and the root of all the crises and wars. . ."
On Al-Manar television, Jews are termed pigs and monkeys and the Holocaust is denied. Participants in a network-sponsored symposium urge that Israel ``be completely wiped out" and ``just like Hitler fought the Jews" the ``great Islamic nation of Jihad" should ``fight the Jews and burn them."
In May, Nasrallah appeared on the network to explain that ``our nation's willingness to sacrifice their blood, souls, children, fathers, and families" is an advantage over the Jews ``who guard their lives." (All translations by the Middle East Media Research Institute.)
This blunt admission too should be remembered in the rush of reports; for there is, indeed, a crucial difference in valuing human life, whether Israeli or Arab. The innocent Lebanese behind whom Hezbollah gunmen wantonly shelter, knowingly inviting Israel's defensive return volley, have surely been sacrificed. And not by their own choice. One news report told of Hezbollah murdering a Lebanese man who sought to flee the fighting and escape being used as a human shield. Lebanese citizens, especially Christians, speak of rage at Iran and Syria for the ruin of their country caused by Hezbollah's proxy militia and of helplessness at the hands of the armed thugs.
Many in the Lebanese Christian diaspora, beyond the reach of Hezbollah intimidation, speak out even more forcefully against turning Lebanon into a Shia theocracy emulating Iran.
Israel has, in fact, tried to `"guard" the lives of Lebanese civilians, dropping warning leaflets and announcing ahead its intention to target missile launchers, explosives, and gunmen. In contrast, Hezbollah fills its katyushas with lethal ball bearings to spread death and suffering as far and wide as possible
.
A Boston native, David Lalchuck, was killed just days ago by this weapon as he rushed to safety from tending a kibbutz orchard. He was only the latest American to die at the hands of Hezbollah. Two-hundred-and-forty-one were killed in 1983 by a Hezbollah truck bomb at the US Marine barracks in Beirut. The Marines were part of a peace-keeping force. Until 9/11, Hezbollah had kidnapped, hijacked, tortured, and murdered more Americans than any other terrorist group.
The Great Satan and the Little Satan -- America and Israel -- are the obsession of Hezbollah, Iran, Al Qaeda, and other Islamic fascists. Closing our eyes to their brutality only assures more innocent lives will be lost before the threat is overcome.

Blame the Terrorists, Not Israel!
THE HEZBOLLAH and Hamas provocations against Israel once again demonstrate how terrorists can exploit human rights and the media in their attacks on democracies. By hiding behind their own civilians, the Islamic radicals issue a challenge to democracies: Either violate your own morality by coming after us and inevitably killing some innocent civilians, or maintain your morality and leave us with a free hand to target your innocent civilians. This challenge presents democracies such as Israel with a lose-lose option and terrorists with a win-win option.

“U.S. Officials: Hezbollah Training Iraqi Shiite Militia Group“ Tuesday, November 28, 2006
Hezbollah, the Iranian-backed group in Lebanon that warred with Israel this summer, has been training militant Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr's militia both inside Iraq and in Lebanon, senior White House and intelligence officials confirmed Tuesday. The confirmation came after the New York Times reported that a senior intelligence official said that some 1,000 to 2,000 Shiite fighters had been trained in Lebanon by Hezbollah, which also is backed by Syria. Click here to view the New York Times article. President Bush, who is in Europe to attend a NATO summit, expressed concern Tuesday that Iran and Syria are both attempting to destabilize Iraq. "The Iranians and the Syrians should help — not destabilize — this young democracy," Bush said. Bush continued to express his administration's reluctance to talk with Iran and Syria on the grounds that the two nations have been unhelpful in efforts to achieve Middle East peace.

...The Return of a Superterrorist (Most Dangerous Besides Osama = MUGNIYAH)

Feb. 5, 2007 issue - Before Osama bin Laden, there was Imad Mughniyeh. The Lebanese terrorist from Hizbullah was considered the most dangerous in the world. Now the White House worries that he's back, after years of lying low. Four serving U.S. intel and counterterrorism officials, anonymous when discussing sensitive material, said Mughniyeh is prominent in recent reporting from the field about Hizbullah activity. Bruce Riedel, a veteran Mideast expert recently retired from the CIA, told NEWSWEEK there is "no question he is heavily involved in [formulating] terrorist contingency plans in case of a U.S.-Iran confrontation."
Mughniyeh has the résumé to be a potent threat. He was the alleged organizer of a series of devastating bombings and kidnappings against U.S. targets in Lebanon during the 1980s, including two bombings of the U.S. Embassy in Beirut. But Hizbullah later made a strategic decision to abandon attacks on American targets. Even now, U.S. intel officials stress that they don't believe Hizbullah will actually hit U.S. interests unless Washington strikes first—against either the movement or its key patron, Tehran.
So what is Mughniyeh up to? Two of the U.S. officials interviewed by NEWSWEEK said field reports indicate that he travels between Beirut, Damascus and Tehran. One official said that some reports also suggest he has visited Baghdad. (Hizbullah has allegedly been involved in training the Mahdi Army militia of Moqtada al-Sadr.) (EXCERPT...) read more at:

Israeli Arabs Muslims, often First class citizens above Jews - preferential treatment for Arabs over Jews

Israeli Arabs Muslims, often First class citizens above Jews – preferential treatment for Arabs over Jews

Introduction: Critics point out to the reversed unevenness, some have summed it up in one phrase: "If Arabs Can Live in Jewish Neighborhoods, Why Can't Jews Live in Arab Neighborhoods?" [1], In fact, many have raised the issue of Arabs not only being equal citizens as Jews in Israel, but often as first class citizens, Arabs, Muslims first class citizens in Israel whereas Israeli Jews are second class citizens [2] [3]

Land issues: an example: Israeli Police evict Jews from Jewish-owned Hebron home as applauding Palestinian Arabs looked on [4], there are complaints of Jews who proclaim that they are sick and tired of being second-class citizens, while all Arabs in Judea and Samaria are treated like first-class citizens. [5], in another case An Israeli Supreme Court ruling did not deny that the land was Jewish-owned, but ordered the Jews to be moved out. [6] In another case, a lawyer for Y. Herskovitz, owner of property in Jerusalem, said his client will sue Jerusalem police for failing to execute court orders to evict Arab squatters from his property. [7]

In court (broader issues), the Israelis routinely decide in favor of the Palestinians against their own government, applauded by U.S. Justice Brennan,[8] preferential treatments to Israeli Arabs, Palestinian-Arabs include steps on the expense of security, such as the 'Democracy in action' [9], Israel's Supreme Court took up the grievances of Palestinians and required the government to move the fence in the area near Jerusalem to make things easier for the Palestinians [10] Even the NYTimes acknowledges that at least [11] periodically, Israeli courts rule in favor of Palestinians (instead of security/government officials).

Voting: the Arab minority are full citizens who enjoy equal rights despite not being required to serve in Israel's army . [12] and decry: Israel is the only country in the world that endows a community of its citizens with full voting rights on both local and national levels without also requiring them to serve in the army, adding that Israeli Arabs even refuse the alternative National Service. They even refuse a national service in their own communities and exercise intimidation against members of their community that raise the subject. [13]

Employment: Israel has enacted affirmative action policies to help its minority citizens achieve full social and economic equality. [14] [15], in an example: if an Arab candidate received the same number of points as the Jewish candidate, the Arab doctor was preferable, in keeping with the policy of affirmative action in government ministries. [16]

In academia: a professor has written about Israel's "affirmative action", quotas and preferences for Arabs [17] Israeli universities... instituting programs that discriminate in favor of Arabs and against Jews [18] and that Israel already has a system in place whereby Jews are often treated as second-class citizens. [19]

Checkpoints: From May 2009, All Israeli citizens - including Jews - must now show their ID cards at the large Tarkumiyeh checkpoint, at the same time, life is being made easier for Arabs in the region – despite the several murders that have been perpetrated by Arabs. The IDF explained that the decision was made to “reward” the Arabs for not rioting or attacking during the recent Israeli offensive in Gaza. [20]

Media freedom: while the Arabs have unlimited freedom of broadcast [21] and the Hebrew radio stations like Kol Yisrael and Galei Tzahal (IDF Radio) systematically broadcast from an Arab point of view, yet the Arutz Sheva radio station, often called "Free Israel Radio" (because it is the only independent news network in the Middle East) [22], has seen restricting steps from the Israeli government. [23] [24]

Access to holy sites, often Israeli police closes the Temple Mount to non-Muslims Like: Temple Mount shut to non-Muslims on election eve - was closed to Jews today in response to Muslim threats of violence [25] and on more occasions. [26]

Non-Arab and/or non-Muslims in the "Arab" world [Racist Arabism and bigoted Islamism]

Non-Arab and/or non-Muslims in the "Arab" world [Racist Arabism and bigoted Islamism]
eretzyisroel ^

Non-Arab and/or non-Muslims in the "Arab" world

One key element missing from the discussion is the question of non-Arab and/or non-Muslims in the "Arab" world. The Arab nationalists have succeeded in establishing some 23 non-democratic, ethnically (Arab) and religiously (Islam) defined nation-states in over 1 million square miles of territory, often at the expense of non-Arabs, such as the Kurds (Muslims, non-Arabs), Assyrians (Christians, non-Arabs), Copts (Christians, non-Arabs), southern Sudanese (Christian and pagan non-Arabs), Maronite Lebanese (Christian and mostly identified with their Phoenician ancestors) and Mizrahi Jews. Arab nationalist ideology claims all this territory exclusively as "Arab" despite the legitimate claims of non-Arabs and/or non-Muslims to ancient homelands long ago arabized with the spread of Islam, often through conquest.

I believe that the Arab opposition to the existence of non-Arab, non-Muslim Israel is based on the ideological motivations which led to the persecution of non-Arab minorities. The Assyrians suffered massacre and expulsion by the Arab nationalists of Iraq in the 1920s and 1930s. The Kurds have been persecuted and have suffered terribly for their struggle to establish an independent Kurdistan (at the hands of the Turks and Iranians as well, but that is another story.)

Arab nationalist ideology, and its Islamicist couterpart, cannot and will not tolerate non-Arab and non-Islamic peoples organizing themselves into their own independent nation states. Indeed, I have seen on Islamicist web sites the goal of "regaining" Spain in the name of Islam.

I believe that we need to place Israel's struggle to survive into this context. Any non-Arab/non-Islamic state in the region must rely on strength (political, moral, spiritual and military) if it wants to survive in the Middle East. In this context can we thus place Israel's demand for security. It is not security for the sake of security, not seucirty for the sake of oppressing another people, but security for the sake of survival against two racist and exclusivist ideologies (Arabism and Islamicism) which have succeeded in repressing the just struggles for national self-determination of most non-Arab peoples in the Middle East.

APARTHEID 'PALESTINE' - The REAL Apartheid by Arab Muslim "Palestine"

‘PALESTINE’ - APARTHEID

The Arab Muslim REAL Apartheid in ‘Palestine’ authority

The Brownshirts of Our Time - Phyllis Chesler The largest practitioner of apartheid in the world is Islam, which practices both gender and religious apartheid. In terms of gender apartheid, Palestinian women - and all women who live under Islam - are oppressed by “honor” killings, forced veiling, segregation, stonings to death for alleged adultery, seclusion/sequestration, female genital mutilation, polygamy, outright slavery, and sexual slavery. Women have few civil, legal, or human rights under Islam. Today, the entire Middle East is judenrein. Jews cannot become citizens of Jordan, Egypt, or Saudi Arabia, yet no one accuses those nations of apartheid. http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=10882
Judenrein palestine …Therefore, instead of Israel being the ‘apartheid state’ in the region, it is the Arab world that is not only apartheid, but also racist and religiously exclusivehttp://www.betar.co.uk/articles/betar1073431322.php

Israel’s electoral system bodek_tzitziyot wrote:
Sunday, 15 February 2009 at 05:21 am (UTC) Once again we hear criticism of democracy in Israel from the Independent, and a call to suppress minority opinion and deprive it of representation and power. Once again the Independent chides Israelis for not believing in the “peace process”, even though it has led to unprecedented carnage and death in the streets, restaurants and schools of their country since 1993. And once again the Independent smears and defames Jews who oppose surrender of their rights in order to satisfy the vanity of an ignorant US President - a President who believed that his GI uncle liberated Auschwitz, no less.
Instead of plotting to cheat the Jews, the EU should support Jewish rights, and tell the Arabs that ethnic cleansing of Jews from the West Bank is illegal and won’t be tolerated. Creating an apartheid judenrein West Bank Palestinian state, which current EU policy is working towards, will not lead to peace, but will just whet the Arab appetite for more war. http://opinion.independentminds.livejournal.com/318891.html?thread=1770155#t1770155

Meanwhile Israel today is called ‘”apartheid” and “racist” but the PA and a future Palestinian state will not be? After all the Jews will have deserved everything they get for their 100+ year struggle to defend themselves and find a few thousand square kilometres of land where they can exercise self-determination in their ancestral homeland.
No one will cry for the Israeli Jews as their remnants make their way to America and Europe where they will face a growing Islamist threat and once again become a persecuted minority in the lands of their great grandparents or swell the former “Israel lobby” which will now be honestly called the “Jewish lobby”. http://www.raymondcook.net/blog/index.php/2009/04/01/

HIT SQUADS UNLEASHED
[July 1997]
“Any Palestinian who sells land in violation of this law will be considered to have committed national treason and will receive the maximum punishment.
Any foreigner who violates this law will be prosecuted on charges of harming the national interest and will receive a life sentence.
“Any past or future deals with the occupiers concerning properties in Palestine are considered null and void.” -
Excerpts from the Property Law for Foreigners, under consideration by the Palestinian Legislative Council, outlawing land sales to “the government of occupation, its civilian and military institutions and its individual citizens”. “Imagine the world-wide denunciation had it been a warning of execution to Jews from Israel, for selling land to Palestinians. America and Europe erupt in justified fury.
…And so the spectre of semi-official deathsquads has come to the PA self-rule areas, conjuring up memories of apartheid South Africa, the former Yugoslavia–or indeed, of PLO-controlled Lebanon.
The campaign began on May 4, when Yasser Arafat’s “Justice Minister”, Freih Abu Meddein, announced the PA would start to enforce an old Jordanian law, which made the selling of land to Jews a capital offence. (Jordan rescinded the statute when it signed a 1994 peace treaty with Israel.)
Four days later, news broke that a prime property on Jerusalem’s Mount of Olives–in a part of the city Palestinians want for the capital of a future independent state–had been sold to a Jewish businessman, and then donated to a Jewish religious seminary.
Ahmed Tibi, an Israeli Arab politician and Arafat aide, reacted to the sale during a radio interview by warning: “Whoever sells his house to Jews, has sold his soul to Satan and has done a despicable act.”
With the groundwork thus laid by the Arab leaders, and amid angry reactions to the law from Israelis and some US Congressmen–although not yet the State Department–the violence was set to begin.
Seventy-year-old Bashiti, an Israeli citizen who lived in eastern Jerusalem, was reportedly involved in the closing of the Mount of Olives land deal.
On May 8, he was lured to a meeting at a Jerusalem hotel by a woman who told him she had buyers for two houses in Ram’Allah he was trying to sell. From there it appears he was abducted.
That evening, he was seen at the Ram’Allah offices of Arafat’s personal security unit, Force 17.
Five hours later, in the words of an Israeli official, “the hospital in Ram’Allah telephoned his wife and told her she could come and pick up his body.”
He had been found dead, with his hands bound, his skull crushed, and his mouth sealed with plastic tape.
Pouring salt on the grief-stricken family’s wound, the PA-installed Islamic mufti of Jerusalem, Sheikh Ekrima Sabri, refused to allow Bashiti a Muslim funeral: “Such a person is not a Muslim and according to our religion we shouldn’t pray over the body in a mosque. US-Funded Racist Apartheid Government Will Execute Man Who Sold Land To Enemy Religion [April 29, 2009 ] http://www.mererhetoric.com/archives/11275571.html

April 28, 2009 Who is the Apartheid state? Palestinian gets death sentence for selling land to Jews A Palestinian military court has sentenced a man to death by hanging for selling land to an Israeli company. Land sales are considered treason by the Palestinians because of their long-running dispute with the Israelis, however the sentence is unlikely to be implemented. Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas routinely withholds the required approval for executions. Several others are on death row as suspected informants for Israel. The sentence was handed down Tuesday in a military court in the West Bank city of Hebron after two days of closed-door hearings. http://www.viciousbabushka.com/2009/04/who-is-the-apartheid-state.html

Apr 1, 2009 23:24 Updated Apr 2, 2009 14:09 PA: Death penalty for those who sell land to Jews By KHALED ABU TOAMEH Palestinian Authority, Jerusalem, Salaam Fayad The Palestinian Authority has issued yet another warning to Palestinians against selling their homes or properties to Jews, saying those who violate the order would be accused of “high treason” - a charge that carries the death penalty. The latest warning was issued on Wednesday by the Chief [Islamic] Judge of the Palestinian Authority, Sheikh Tayseer Rajab Tamimi, who reminded the Palestinians of an existing fatwa [religious decree] than bans them from selling property to Jews.
Article: PA: Death penalty for those who sell land to Jews 51. Nothing in South African apartheid came close to this racism. Where is the UN Human Rights Commission? Rhetorical question. They probably wrote it. http://www.jpost.com/servlet/Satellite?pagename=JPost%2FJPTalkback%2FCommonFrame&tbId=1238345346389&tbNum=51&type=Show

Title: What could more apartheid than killing people for selling land? The Muslim countries (yes every single one of them) practise the aspects of apartheid that go beyond anything the South African government ever considered. Death for selling land to a person based upon the buyers religion is one of the most racist acts. And morons here defend this racism and then those same individuals attempt with pathetic comparisons and lies to claim that we somehow are the racists. http://haaretz.com/hasen/objects/data/TalkBackResponse.jhtml

PA’s fallacious premises
Palestinian Authority demands based on egregiously false assumptions
Arlene Kushner Published: 04.20.09, 12:06
We here in Israel have been asleep at the wheel. In a rush of concessionary zeal after Oslo, we chose to refrain from making our own case. At first this decision, made at a governmental level, was intended to demonstrate our eagerness for peace. But after a time it was almost as if we had forgotten how to speak for ourselves with vigor and forthrightness.
Meanwhile, the Palestinians have waxed inordinately successful at promoting their positions – you’ll find no concessionary zeal on their part. And today the international community swallows those positions whole – without either setting them into historical context or doing a fair and reasonable analysis of precisely what it is that is being promoted as a “given.”

In fairness to the members of the international community, there has been scant reason for them to analyze the validity of Palestinian Authority premises as we haven’t been doing so ourselves. This situation must change, and that change must begin here at home with a forthright challenge to several Palestinian presumptions. The Netanyahu government, at long last, gives hope of being ready to do this. Among the many issues that require a public airing are these:
Mahmoud Abbas, PA president, and others speaking on behalf of the Palestinian position, regularly refer to the “June 4, 1967 border.” What Abbas et al have in mind is the line, commonly called the Green Line, behind which Israel operated before the Six Day War that began on June 5, 1967. Implied is that this line constitutes Israel’s “real” border, and that Israeli presence beyond this is automatically “illegitimate.” Thus, goes the PA argument, there can be no justice, no fairness that will lead to peace, unless Israel returns to her border.
Yet the simple, irrefutable, historical fact is that this line was not a border at all, but merely an armistice line. It was drawn when hostilities ceased at the end of the 1948-49 War of Independence — a war initiated, it should be noted, by the Arab League, which attacked the nascent state of Israel as soon as independ¬ence was declared.

Not only was it an armistice line, it was intended to be temporary. In the signed armistice agreement with Jordan (which was on the other side of that line) there was a clause stating that this line would not prejudice future negotiations on a permanent border. Thus the case cannot legitimately be made that the Green Line has any legal status in determining Israel’s “true” border. It does not. That border has yet to be determined. In negotiations.
Intolerable inequity of demands Even more egregious is the claim made by the PA regarding the land on the other side of the line that it sees as defining Israel’s border. Its leaders maintain that it must be totally Judenrein. This is a position that is inherently morally offensive, and yet it is accepted wholesale by the world.
When the Palestinians declare with great self-righteousness that “settlements are an obstacle to peace,” what they are actually pushing for is the total removal of Jewish presence on the land they are seeking for their state.
It’s past time to ask why this is all right.
This demand is particularly ironic in light of Palestinian charges that Israel is an “apartheid” state. “Apartheid” is a buzz word, utilized spuriously to delegitimize Israel: anyone who has spent time in Israel and seen the freedom with which Arabs walk the streets and secure equal services knows full well that there is nothing remotely resembling apartheid here.
The situation grows even more ludicrous as the Palestinian leadership has just rejected the demand of Israeli Prime Minster Netanyahu that the PA recognize Israel as a Jewish state.
On Saturday, Azzan al-Ahmed, a close Abbas associate and major Fatah official, declared that, “We reject Netanyahu’s demand to recognize Israel as a Jewish state. This demand illustrates the racist nature of Israel…”

If Israel – which permits its Arab citizens (citizens!) to elect representatives to the Knesset and provides them with full health care and other rights – is “racist” for insisting that the nation must be recognized as having a Jewish character, what, precisely does this make the PA – which seeks to totally drive out every Jew from the land it envisions to be part of a future state?
How long will this intolerable inequity of demands fail to be noted by those who are promoting that “two-state solution”? http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-3703694,00.html

What a world:: Racist Arabs & Islamic bigots call the victims of their racism - "racists"

Forget the fact that Israel is multi-racial for all colors from the whitest of white to the darkest of black, whereas Arab countries (including "Palestinian" authorities") asides from oppressing all non-Arab minorities, are almost entirely "judenrein", but in democratic Israel, an Arab can get the highest office!
But the brazenness of Arab racism not only fails to admit of it's racist war on Jews/Israel since the 1920's, but it brands Israel's defense FROM it as "racist".

[Racism of] Killing Jews in Israel a young Israeli student at Hebron University was gunned down while jogging through a mixed neighborhood of Jews and Arabs. The al Aqsa Brigade, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yassir Arafat's Fatah movement, joyously claimed credit for the killing of yet another innocent Jew. When it was later learned that the jogger was an Arab-Israeli and not a Jew, al Aqsa quickly apologized to the family, calling it an accident. But the killing of the innocent young jogger was not an accident; the murderer had deliberately taken aim at his head and midsection, intending to end his life. The only thing accidental about the murder was the religion of the victim. The al Aqsa Brigade had sent the assassin to murder a Jew - any Jew, so long as he was a Jew.
This is racism, pure and simple. And despite efforts by supporters of Palestinian terrorism to justify the murder of innocent civilians as national liberationor by any other euphemism, this case proves that the Palestinian terrorists targeting of Jews and only Jews - as many as possible - is little different in intent than other forms of lethal or exterminatory anti-Jewish murders (I dont use the term anti-Semitic only because some Arabs claim that because they too are Semites, they cant be anti-Semitic). Obviously the numbers are different, because Israel is capable of defending its Jewish citizens, but if it were not, the goal of Palestinian terrorist groups would not be very different from that of previous groups intent on murdering as many Jews as possible. http://www.israelnewsagency.com/israeljewsracismdersh130112.html

Racism in perspective - Anti Jewish racism by Arabs, Muslims carrying an Israeli or a 'Palestinian' ID

Racism in perspective - Anti Jewish racism by Arabs, Muslims, whether carrying a "Palestinian" or an Israeli ID

Racist Disengagement
by Shmuel Neumann, Ph.D.

It is illegal to advocate ejecting Arabs from their homes and forcibly removing them from Israel. How can it be legal to advocate forcibly removing Jews from their homes?
... racism is not a laughing matter. Especially after the Holocaust, racism against Jews, even by Jews, is intolerable. During the Holocaust, Jews, called kapos, were forced by the Nazis to implement racial genocide. It is also a horrible tragedy and a pathetic sight to see certain Israeli government officials compelled by "their good friend" the United States to implement ethnic cleansing, not by genocide, but by expulsion. This expulsion of Jews, not necessarily Israelis, is racist.

It is illegal to advocate ejecting Arabs from their homes and forcibly removing them from Israel. How can it be legal to advocate forcibly removing Jews from their homes? While the government may elect to dismantle Israeli army bases and outposts, they have no legal right to remove only Israeli Jews and not remove Israeli Arabs or Christians. It has no right to remove Jews of other nationalities who purchase a farm in Judea or Samaria and wish to farm their private property and live on their farm. If it has such a right, then it must remove any non-Israeli Muslim or Christian farmers from their independent farms, as well.

If certain Jewish settlements are deemed illegal and therefore slated for demolition, then illegal Arab settlements must be demolished as well. The Israeli government is in possession of aerial photographs of each village and town from 1917 until the present, and is well aware that many villages and towns existing today were built by squatters who grabbed land and illegally built houses. Often the houses were built on other people's land, even land purchased decades before by individual Jews or by the Jewish National Fund. All of these communities must be demolished if any Jewish communities are to be evacuated and demolished. If the government refuses to demolish illegal Arab houses, then their policy of evacuating Jewish houses, farms and communities is racism against Jews and must not be tolerated.

One might speculate if there were, hypothetically, 10 Christians living in a Jewish settlement that was slated for evacuation, and 10 Israeli Jews living in Jenin, then wouldn't the Christians be evacuated with the rest of the community and wouldn't the Jews be permitted to remain in Jenin? Certainly, the Christians would be evacuated together with the Jews from a Jewish settlement. However, if they had a monastery in Bethlehem or anywhere else in Palestinian-controlled Judea, Samaria or Gaza, then they certainly would not be evacuated, nor would their church or monastery be demolished. The 10 Jews in Jenin, however, would not be evacuated, but imprisoned, because Israel makes it illegal for Jews to enter Area "A". That is, unless the Palestinians got to them first, in which case they would torture and mutilate the Jews as they did to those Jews who made a wrong turn and found themselves in Ramallah.

The central point is that Colin Powell or Condoleezza Rice would never tolerate removing blacks from any neighborhood, not just in the United States, but anywhere in the world. They do, however, insist that Jews, not just Israelis, be forcibly removed from all areas of Judea, Samaria and Gaza. When they speak of pre-1967 borders, they are talking about removing Jews from Ramat Eshkol, the Old City, Mamilla and many neighborhoods of Jerusalem.

This reverse discrimination is not only in relation to settlements, but to land registration. If an Arab registers a land sale in Beit El's land office, the land registration is recorded seamlessly. If a Jew records a sale from an Arab, the land office notifies the Palestinian Authority of the land sale and the land registration can take 15-20 years. In the interim, the Arab seller and real estate agents are killed by the so-called Palestinians, eliminating all witnesses to the sale. As a result, often the land sale is never recorded. This is racism, pure and simple.

This racism against Jews goes beyond the issue of settlements or land registration. The Israeli government interprets its own laws against racism to protect Arabs, but not Jews. For example, in Israel it is illegal to hire only Jews, but it appears to not be illegal to hire only Arabs. For instance, there is one chain of gas stations that I frequented throughout Israel, and every single one of them had only Arab employees at the gas pumps. While it is their prerogative to employ Arabs, it is not their prerogative to hire only Arabs. This is a violation of racism laws and should be prosecuted not just in a civil action, but in a criminal action, as well.

Jews (are not racists, but) Want to Separate From Enemies

http://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/124514

Denial is a well-known psychological mechanism. A threatening problem is created. The individual denies the problem for a certain amount of time, but it eventually explodes in his face.

The people of Israel are in total denial regarding Israeli Arabs. After watching a video recording of a recent demonstration by Israeli Arabs in Haifa, I decided that the time has come to raise this issue, knowing full well that
The dramatic rise in the nationalistic extremism of Israeli Arabs.
this is a subject that many people are afraid to touch. We see scores of Arabs waving flags of Palestine and chanting anti-Israel slogans. Here is an excerpt from the article by Boaz Golan that accompanies the recording:

"This infuriating demonstration lasted for days. A Palestinian demonstration against the state, against the Jewish people. Against me and against you. Flags of Palestine fly in the face of passersby. Gaza is here in Haifa, in our very home! Jewish drivers pass by, honk their horns, and call out to them: 'Go to Gaza,' but scores of Arabs continue to chant their slogans against the state, and are not afraid to shout out loud: 'Beirut, Damascus, Palestine...."

The demonstration in Haifa is, of course, only one of the many examples of the dramatic rise in the nationalistic extremism of Israeli Arabs, which is expressed not only in anti-Israel slogans, but also in actions against Jews. Naturally, in all these instances, Israeli law enforcement does not lift a finger.

In Akko (Acre) and in Jaffa, Israeli Arabs attack Jews. No one says anything. Recently, we heard of stonings of Jewish vehicles by Israeli Arabs in the Galilee. This hardly makes the headlines. Just imagine what the media would have done if Jews had thrown stones at Arabs.

Last year, dozens of Jews celebrated Israel Independence Day in the forest of Megiddo. A group of Israeli Arabs arrived with flags of Palestine, riding on horses, and forced the Jews to flee. Except for the Arutz-7 website, did anyone cover this subject? Not to mention that the police did not arrest even a single Arab rioter.

Make no mistake. Unlike other countries, in which minorities act with respect and submission to the host country, a considerable portion of the Israeli Arabs act as if they were the lords of the land; while we Jews seem to them as casual visitors who bother them.

Palestinian racism exposed

By Alan Dershowitz, professor of law at Harvard. His latest book is The Case for Israel.
(April 12, 2004)

Recently, a young student at the Hebrew University was gunned down while jogging through a mixed neighborhood of Jews and Arabs in north Jerusalem. The Aksa Martyrs Brigade, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yasser Arafat's Fatah movement, joyously claimed credit for the killing yet another innocent Jew.

When it was later learned that the jogger was a Jerusalem Arab and not a Jew, al-Aksa quickly apologized to the family, calling it an accident.

But the killing of the innocent young jogger was not an accident; the murderer had deliberately taken aim at his head and midsection, intending to end his life. The only thing accidental about the murder was the religion of the victim. Al-Aksa had sent the assassin to murder a Jew any Jew, so long as he was a Jew.

This is racism, pure and simple. And despite efforts by supporters of Palestinian terrorism to justify the murder of innocent civilians as national liberation or by any other euphemism, this case proves that the Palestinian terrorists' targeting of Jews and only Jews as many as possible is little different in intent from other forms of lethal or exterminatory anti-Jewish murders. Obviously the numbers are different, because Israel is capable of defending its Jewish citizens, but if it were not, the goal of Palestinian terrorist groups would not be very different from that of previous groups intent on murdering as many Jews as possible.

The Web sites of various Palestinian terrorist groups proclaim usually only in English and almost never in Arabic that they have no quarrel with the Jews, only with the Zionists. Yet they target every Jew, regardless of his or her individual political views, and they apologize when they accidentally kill a non-Jew, regardless of his political views. The racist acts of these terrorist groups speak louder than their sanitized English-only anti-Zionist Web sites...

Terrorists apologetic / justifier: Rashid Khalidi has a "new" book - yet he's the same old "average Arab racist"

Terrorists - justifier Rashid Khalidi has a "new" book - yet he's the same old "average Arab racist"

Rashid Khalidi (on c-span 2, books) (Author: 'Sowing Crisis') wants us to believe that Islamic republic of Iran is "not" linked to the terror organizations: Hamas, Hezbollah and that these groups have "legitimate" concerns.

Desperate as he is to act as if he's on a 'research' row and making a show of someone who's really "looking at the region from a broader angle", he did talk at first quite smoothly, dancing around and mentioning "other" problems we the USA have (supposedly) created in the region, like Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran (no, he didn't mention Carter's role in indirectly overthrowing the Shah, that led to the current Islamofascistic totalitarianism), you almost thought that Rashid might really be an academic, in the real sense of the word.

But as an average Arab Muslim "academic" he can never escape his burning Arab-racism against the Jews, though polishing his way to the maximum, he had to come to his essential venomous point, all in all, his punch line is really, the same old hateful cliche theme, "It's all Israel's fault", especially towards the end, when he was asked some questions, you could see how he was "lit" as if by a switch that turns on the Arab "moderates" hatred flames - they can never seem to resist, and fall into it each and every time.

To his credit, most Arab propagandists are less patient... you don't have to wait even that long to see their outbursts.

It was a small room, filled by either Arabs, or the gullible, one Arab "American" journalist is even a brazen open Jihadists-Hamas-Hezbollah supporter, none has asked about his propaganda statement that Iran fears Israel's nukes - as a "reason" for why they might be pursuing nuclear weapons, no one has asked the obvious: Did (democratic) Israel ever threaten to wipe out (oppressive) Iran like the Islamic fascist genocidal Republic did? or did Israel ever attack Iran like Iran attacked Israel via Hezbullah, Hamas, Islamic Jihad?
Never mind his Pro-Jihad statement defending Hamas, Hezbollah, portraying them as "political" movements with "concerns", and no one was refuting him - pointing to the true nature of these Jihadists that openly declare their real goal - to erase Israel.

If you were to turn in towards the end, all you could hear is repeated word "occupation", more than a few times... (as you know), all crimes under the sun are all washed by this excuse, used by the children of Arab immigrants, (that have invaded the land of Israel - "Palestine," since the 1800's), and is being heard  by him, as by any Arab "journalist" like a spiral.

The "twin fascisms" - that dominate the Arab world - Islamism & pan-Arabism

The "twin fascisms" - that dominate the Arab world - Islamism & pan-Arabism
frontpagemag ^ 10, 2007

All minorities living within the Arab world are under siege. Tunisian human rights activist Muhammad Bechri has traced this to the "twin fascisms" - his term - that dominate the Arab world, Islamism and pan-Arabism. The first promotes murderous intolerance of religious minorities. It helps explain why Christians are under siege across the Arab world and why Sudan enjoyed broad Arab support as it killed some two million non-Muslim blacks in the south of the country. Pan-Arabism translates into endorsement of murderous policies toward Muslim but non-Arab groups and accounts for Arab support for Saddam Hussein as he slaughtered 200,000 Kurds in northern Iraq, as well as backing for Sudanese policies toward the Muslim but black population of Darfur.

The Arab world is not about to make an exception for the Jews. This broad intolerance of minorities is further evidence of how unlikely it is the Arab world will accept the legitimacy of a Jewish state in its midst any time soon.

US [like Canada] Pulls out of [Arab Muslim racist push at] UN's "Durban" conference - European states consider boycotting it too

United States Pulls Out of Durban II

by Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu

(IsraelNN.com) The Obama administration announced Friday that it is boycotting the Durban II conference on racism unless there are significant changes to what the State Department called “unsalvageable” anti-Israeli resolutions.

The decision by the State Department pleased Kadima leader and acting Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni and Knesset Member Silvan Shalom, Livni's predecessor, who said it is "a sign for the entire world.” Livni stated that the policy move "must lead the way for more countries that share the same values” to boycott the convention, scheduled for April. Canada already has said it will not participate.

Israel has been concerned by the new American government’s change in policy to participate in preliminary committee meetings for the convention, which is to be held in Geneva but bears the name of the South African city where the first meeting was held in 2001. The United States walked out of it because of harsh anti-Israeli resolutions.

The proposed motions for the April meeting single out Israel for its presence in Judea and Samaria and include a Palestinian Authority proposal for “international protection of the Palestinian people throughout the occupied Palestinian territory” effectively claiming that Arabs are victims of alleged Israeli racism and that the U.N. should protect them.

The Durban planning committee, chaired by Libya, also rejected a European Union (EU) condemnation of Holocaust denial.

The State Department announcement came after growing domestic protests of the Obama administration’s participation in the planning committee. It would reconsider its boycott if the conference drops its reference to any specific country, which so far names Israel but no other nation, and if it does not affirm the 2001 Durban resolutions that singled out Israel.

"Unfortunately, the document being negotiated has gone from bad to worse," State Department spokesman Robert Wood said. "As a result, the United States will not participate in the forthcoming negotiations on this text, nor will we be able to participate in a conference that is based on this text."

The Anti-Defamation League and the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations praised the American government for backing out of the conference.

[An Islamist propagandist "activist" asks:] 'Berbers, Where Do You Stand on "Palestine"?

[An Islamist propagandist "activist" asks:] 'Berbers, Where Do You Stand on "Palestine"?
memri ^ | January 15, 2009

'Berbers, Where Do You Stand on "Palestine"?'

Moroccan Islamist Daily: "Amazighs of Morocco, Where Do You Stand on Palestine?" On January 15, the Moroccan pro-Hamas Islamist daily Al-Tajdid published a column by Hassan Bouikhf titled "Amazighs of Morocco, Where Do You Stand on Palestine?" The article took to task Berber activist groups that did not show support for the Palestinians in Gaza:

February 26, 2009 No. 2262

Columnist Ahmed 'Asid: We Don't March Because Islamists and Pan-Arabists Have Monopolized the Public Sphere

Columnist Ahmed 'Asid responded to Al-Tajdid's accusations in the Moroccan Bayan Al-Yawm daily on January 23, 2009: "…We know the Moroccan people's solidarity with the Palestinian people, and we [the Amazighs] join in this. It is in the hearts of people of all ages and in all sectors [of society]. It is a true and spontaneous solidarity… But there is nowhere for this to be expressed apart from the private sphere. As for the public sphere, it is monopolized by others who have other aims in expressing solidarity… The author's second error is that he has limited solidarity with Palestine to participation in marches organized by the political current to which he himself belongs [i.e. the Islamists], in cooperation with the pan-Arab current - whether in its left-wing, nationalist salafi, or right-wing liberal forms. Everyone knows that these marches are held in the framework of these two political ideologies [Islamism and pan-Arabism], both of which we reject completely and irrevocably. These marches are organized in the name of the Moroccan people, but in truth they only represent their organizers, and promote a 'solidarity' of a different sort, and a struggle of a different sort - [that of] agitators for jihadi Islam and preachers of pan-Arabism, whose feelings are roused only when it is Arabs who are wronged

"Thus, we are for Palestinian rights and against the instrumental political use to which they are put; we are for the Palestinian people but against Hamas, [Islamic] Jihad, and all the peddlers of Palestinian blood… We are against the savagery of brutal revenge demonstrated by Palestinian political Islam in the Gaza coup, and against all the maneuvers aiming to derail political talks through missiles - which kill no one apart from the Palestinian dream of an independent state. We believe that the Palestinian cause is a human one that is larger than the Arabs and the Muslims, and that those who have Arabized it and Islamized it have cost it the world's forceful solidarity and have turned it into a wearisome play of which all have tired…" [4]

Berber Activist Moha Moukhlis: "The 'Arab Street' Is Jubilant When an Indoctrinated Palestinian Child Blows Himself up in Tel Aviv" - And Ignores Crimes in Darfur and Kurdistan

An article by the Moroccan Berber journalist Moha Moukhlis posted on the amazighworld.org website expressed in starker terms what some Berbers feel is the gulf between themselves and the Arab world: "…I want first to emphasize that I am writing as an Amazigh deprived of my most basic and legitimate rights: to be myself in the land of my ancestors and to express myself freely without constraint.

"I am not part of the flock that bleats as it is being led to the slaughterhouse. I am allergic to totalitarian ideologies and impassioned rhetoric. I hate confusions and ambiguities: I am an Amazigh, a free man.

"I can thus affirm that the tragedy of the Gaza Palestinians serves as fuel for Hamas, a gang of fundamentalist criminals who are perpetrating self-genocide, with the assistance of genocidal Arab regimes. [They are] mentally disturbed people who hate life and use the blood of their fellow Muslims to perpetuate their macabre aura.

"What can homemade and primitive rockets do against the fifth [largest] army in the world? '[They can bring us] Paradise,' say the Islamists and their dark networks, and they have the Quranic verses and hadith to prove it! [These are] criminal Islamists who conceive of their own people as cannon fodder destined to build up their bogus 'glory'…

"Death is their ideal, their culture, and the pillar of their values. The society that it [Hamas] dominates is indoctrinated to murder, to kill in jubilation and in horror. They are vampires who suck the blood of their citizens… It matters little to them if hundreds of children die or are torn to shreds. They think that they will go straight to Paradise. How morbid!

"And the so-called 'Arab street[?]' A brainless herd that has been indoctrinated and riled up and that has lost all sense of gravity and direction. They express their hatred for the Jews, whom they hope to exterminate from the face of the Earth… Yet this 'Arab street', which sees itself as the voice of the [world's] peoples, never dared to lift a finger against the crimes committed by the Hamas fundamentalists, or by the Arabo-Islamist regimes against non-Arab populations in Darfur, Kurdistan, Egypt, Syria, Libya, Algeria, or Niger. No! [And] the rights of the Amazigh people are supposed to be sacrificed on the altar of [this] Arab fundamentalism

"It is striking that the denunciation of the massacres in Gaza by the 'Arab street' and the Arab 'intellectuals' is not meant to defend the Palestinians' right to live in peace, but to denounce the identity of the aggressor: the Jew. Who cares about the massacre perpetrated by the Hamas gangs against their brothers in Fatah? This macabre [attitude] is taken to extremes: The 'Arab street' is jubilant when an indoctrinated Palestinian child blows himself up in Tel Aviv."

"The Amazigh People… Will Never Give in to the Siren [Songs] of the Peddlers of Death"

Moukhlis continues: "They criticize the Amazigh movement for its 'silence' on Gaza! This is because its position [on Gaza] is determinant [of its status]: either it goes along with the herd, or else it is condemned and accused of high treason against the fundamentalist Arab nation. To rehabilitate itself, it is expected to send its children to blow themselves up in Tel Aviv, to teach them to hate Jews, and to express the wish, after every prayer, that they [the Jews] will disappear from the Earth!

"No! The Amazigh people love life and work to perpetuate it. They will never give in to the siren [songs] of the peddlers of death and human flesh. They will always know to defend just causes without hatred and without vengefulness. While for the 'Arab street' and the Arab fundamentalist groups the death of dozens of children and women means nothing - since their death is a means of entering Paradise - for the Amazighs the life of every human being is sacred and must be defended by legal means and with respect for the other.

"In order to develop, the Arab fundamentalists and [pan-]Arabists need to start by changing. This change, which will allow them to build a future for coming generations, needs to be based on the total and definitive rejection of the culture of death." [5]

Kabyle Writer: "Selective Humanism and Compassion Are the Expression of an Unspoken Racism"

The same attitudes could be observed in Algeria as well as Morocco. In an article on the Kabyle (Algerian Berber) website kabyle.com, Azouaou Azeggagh wrote: "The Palestinians, taken hostage in the Gaza Strip, suffer martyrdom while serving as a human shield in a war imposed on them by Hamas' Islamist militias and their allies in Damascus and Tehran. The media are at the source of the clamors of indignation heard from the four corners of the world when faced with the horrors of a war broadcast live… They would do better to turn against the persecutors of the Palestinians' liberty -namely, the Hamas fundamentalists, disciples of Khomeini and bin Laden…

"The method remains simple and terribly effective. First, you must make Israel commit an error, by launching rockets from crowded neighborhoods, schools, or hospitals, so that the return fire will inevitably hit the largest number of civilians possible - preferably women and children. Then, you show the TV [crews] the shredded bodies, and there you go. The condemnations pour in and the world looks at Israel as the barbarian of the 21st century, when it did nothing but defend its right to live - a right openly and unambiguously contested by Islamists of all stripes.

"Nonetheless, Western opinion, which often stops at the emotional level, wants neither to see nor to understand the reasons for the Israeli military reaction. [According to them], all Israel had to do was not fall into the trap of its enemies. What Western opinion forgets is that with such a reaction, it encourages in Gaza what it condemns at home: Islamist terrorism…

"Other tragedies - in Darfur, Kivu, Gambia, the Ivory Coast, Kabylia, Somaliland, Sri Lanka, Kurdistan, Afghanistan, and the Touareg lands ([in] Niger, Mali, Lybia, and Algeria) - are largely minimalized, and do not give rise to mass movements [of sympathizers]. Selective humanism and compassion are the expression of an unspoken racism. The victims of political and military violence are equal in death, whatever their identity." [6]

"The Majority of Kabyles Cannot Show Solidarity with Hamas - When It Is Arab Islamism that Remains the Principle Menace to the Survival of the Amazigh Peoples"

Another author, D. Messaoudi, wrote on the same website: "The violence of the fighting, the mistakes [on the battlefield], and the proportion of civilians killed by the IDF in Operation Cast Lead have traveled the world round. Both in Europe and in the so-called Arab countries, the tragedies of the Kabyles, the Kurds, and the Darfurians have not excited the same compassion. In this context, it should be added that no one in Algeria or in [other] Berber countries cared when, for eight years, the Islamic jihadi militias of Hamas and Hizbullah tore Israel to pieces with Qassam rockets and Grad missiles.

"The majority of Kabyles cannot show solidarity with Hamas when it is Arab Islamism that remains the principle menace to the survival of the Amazigh peoples…

"To be sure, the slaughter being carried out by the Israeli army against the Arab Palestinian residents of Gaza is condemnable. Thus it is normal that the Arabs of other country would express solidarity with their blood brothers, try to bring in non-Arab Muslims on a basis of religious solidarity, and try to swell their ranks with people of different ethnicities and faiths on the basis of human solidarity.

"But a question has been bothering me for quite a long time and holds me back from expressing solidarity with the Palestinian cause, though I am Muslim and a human rights activist: Have the Arab peoples and regimes, whether Muslim or Christian, ever demonstrated their support for oppressed non-Arabs, whether around the world or in their own countries? The answer is 'no'…"

Messaoudi then reviews the cases of the Kurds and Darfur before going on to address that of his own people in Kabylia: "… In the Black Spring (2001-2004), Kabylia was invaded by government troops and 126 Kabyle civilians were murdered, and hundreds of others were crippled for life. Yet the Kabyle tragedies have never aroused the compassion of Arab figures, regimes, or simple Arab citizens, either nationally [in Algeria] or in the so-called Arab world…

"In sum, the Arabs believe that only their causes are noble and only their populations are to be classed as human - this being the justification for [why] one [should] support them and surround them with love and compassion. It is unfortunate that many people have let themselves be carried away by this wave of hypocritical inter-Arab solidarity."
